CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Hello today I´m going to talk about some changes that I would like to do to the study program

Now I'm in the second year of dentistry. I have seven subjects; scientific and clinical bases for diagnosis, simulation, health promotion, English, psychosocial and anthropological bases, evidence-based dentistry and a CFG. However, I consider that the subject called psychosocial and anthropological bases is not necessary for the career, because the topics are about anthropology, rights, history, among others topics. Besides, I don't like it much because it's a humanist subject and I am not really good at the presentations, debates and speeches. - Because I'm very shy.

On the other hand the workload is quite heavy, because there are classes in the morning and the afternoon, and then we have to study for some test or quizes. Besides, the career lasts 6 years, but I consider that is not so long (although most careers have duration of 5 years).

Now for the national situation we have online classes, I like them and I have learnt a lot, but last week I went to the face-to-face practicals and I liked them even more. The laboratory was very big, there was heating, but they should change the lights. With regard to online classes, at first it was difficult for me because I am not very good at technology. And I also think that the university must give us premium accounts in zoom.

Moreover, I would like university do tutorials and more dynamic classes, because sometimes when we just watched the video is a little boring.

Time travel to the future

 Hello everyone today I'm going to talk about a trip that I would like to do to the past (If I would have a time machine). I would like to travel to the 50's and 60's of Chile, because I like the music of that time, but above all I like the clothes that were used, like the red skirts or with colored dots, the headbands in the hair, leather jackets, among others. And I also like the makeup and hairstyles.

I think I would go with my friends or my sister because we would dance a lot of rock and roll, eat a lot and we could also know the culture of that time, such as the new medical advances, houses, education, customs, people and many other things.- maybe if I'm lucky i could go to an Elvis Presley concert. But I would not like to stay for the 1960 earthquake because earthquakes and tsunamis scare me a lot.

On the other hand I would only like to stay in this era for a while, because it is likely that women at that time were not so independent and it is very likely that I would miss all the technology (especially my phone). Besides, I think that women can do the same things as men and probably at that time it was not well seen.

My future job

 Hello everybody! Today I am going to talk about my future job.

If I have to think about myself in the future I´m not really sure but I would like to work as a dentistry in a public hospital or in the army, and preferably with older adults, because this way I will could to help a lot of people of different social classes. Besides, I think that it´s a nice atmosphere and I also would have a contract and fixed salary. 

On the other hand if I work in a hospital I would probably have time to work outdoors and do community work as a dentist, go to schools or maybe have another job.  

One of the specialties that I like the most so far is oral rehabilitation, because I would like to work attending older adults and help improve their quality of life. And I’m also interested in the area of restorative dentistry and prosthetics.

Besides, I think I would like to study some course in Chile, but if I have the opportunity I would like to study abroad, preferably in Brazil (because I love travel).  

Although I would also like to work in a university teaching, but as a second job, since I would like to continue attending my patients.
